Imām al-Riḍā ▧:

May Allāh ◣ shower mercy upon an obedient who has revived our cause.  The Imām was asked “how could one revive your cause”?  He replied: by learning about our knowledge, and making it known to [other] people.  People would indeed follow us if they knew about the virtue of our words.

Imām al-Ḥusayn ▧:

Verily, the love of us, Ahl al- Bayt, sheds sins off an individual, just as a strong wind sheds leaves off the tree.

Imām al-Bāqir ▧:

A believer can escalate to highest degree of belief with prudent study of our narration.

Ḥaḍrat Fāṭimah Zahrā ▨:

We, Ahl al-Bayt, are the intermediaries in His Creation, we are His favourites, and the descending point of divinities, and we are His final Proof of His unseen world, and we are inheritors of His prophets.

مَا يَتَقَرَّبُ إِلَيَّ عَبْدِي بِشَيْ‏ءٍ أَحَبَّ مِمَّا افْتَرَضْتُ عَلَيْهِ وَ إِنَّهُ لَيَتَقَرَّبُ إِلَيَّ بِالنَّوَافِلِ حَتَّى أُحِبَّهُ فَإِذَا أَحْبَبْتُهُ كُنْتُ لَهُ سَمْعَهُ الَّذِي يَسْمَعُ بِهِ وَ بَصَرَهُ الَّذِي يُبْصِرُ بِهِ و لسانه الذي ينطق به وَ يَدَهُ الَّتِي يَبْطِشُ بِهَا  وَ رِجلَهُ الَّتي يَمشِي بِها.  إن دعاني أجبته و إن سألني أعطيته.

My servant draws not near to Me as there is something I love more than the obligatory duties I have enjoined upon him, But he shall certainly draw near to Me through voluntary reverence, over and above the obligatory worship (an-Nawāfil) until I love him.  When I love him, I am his hearing with which he hears, his seeing with which he sees, his hand with which he strikes and grasps, and his foot with which he walks.  Were he to call Me, I would answer him, and were he to solicit Me, I would grant him.

 

 

 Book No. 39, P. 244.

قالَ: يا ربِّ، ما أوّلُ العِبادَةِ؟ قالَ: الصُّمتُ وَ الصّومُ. قالَ: يا ربِّ وَ مَا مِيراثُ الصُومِ؟ قالَ: الصُّومُ يورثُ الحِكمَةَ وَ الحِكمَةُ تورِثُ المَعرِفَةَ وَ المَعرِفَةُ تورثُ اليَقِينَ. فَإذا اَستَيقِنَ العَبدُ لا يبالي أصبحَ بِعُسرٍ أم يُسرٍ.

         

During the ascension to the Heavens (al-miʿrāj ), Prophet Muammad asked Allāh “Oh Lord what is the best act of worship?”  Allāh replied “the Silence and the awm.”  [The Prophet] asked:  Oh Lord what does the awm generate?”  He replied the fasting (a-awm) gives birth to the divinely gifted wisdom (al-ikmah), and this “wisdom” gives birth to the divinely gifted knowledge (al-maʿrifah), and this “knowledge” gives birth to the divinely gifted certainty (al-yaqīn).  When My obedient worshipper reaches the station of the “certainty (al-yaqīn)” he shall not be distressed about hardship or ease (i.e. he will be in peace).
