Welcome to the alThaqalayn web site. Our goal is to propagate the precious words, and the rich culture, of the Noble Wilāyah for entire human race in the world.                                                                  One Lord (Allāh), One Dīn (Divinity), and One Wilāyah (World-Law).                                                                  Verily, I leave among you two invaluable things (ath-Thaqalyn): The Book of Allāh, and my household, my Ahl al-Bayt.

Imām al-Riḍā ▧:

May Allāh ◣ shower mercy upon an obedient who has revived our cause.  The Imām was asked “how could one revive your cause”?  He replied: by learning about our knowledge, and making it known to [other] people.  People would indeed follow us if they knew about the virtue of our words.

 Book No. 25, v.1, p.180

Imām al-Ḥusayn ▧:

Verily, the love of us, Ahl al- Bayt, sheds sins off an individual, just as a strong wind sheds leaves off the tree.

Book No. 3, v. 27, p. 77, h. 9, c. 4.

Imām al-Bāqir ▧:

A believer can escalate to highest degree of belief with prudent study of our narration.

Book No. 3, v. 1, p. 106, h. 2, c. 3.

Ḥaḍrat Fāṭimah Zahrā ▨:

We, Ahl al-Bayt, are the intermediaries in His Creation, we are His favourites, and the descending point of divinities, and we are His final Proof of His unseen world, and we are inheritors of His prophets.

The Fatimiyyeh Sahifah, p.174

IMĀN (BELIEF) AND KUFR (DISBELIEF)

2-01

No one finds the taste of imān (belief) until he quits lying, either jokingly, or seriously .

Al-Imām Ali (a.s.): Book No. 7, v.2, p. 340, h.11

2-02

Allāh (J.J.) has set im ā n (belief) to cleanse you from shirk (polytheism)... and Allāh (J.J.) has forbidden shirk with the aim of purifying the Rubūbiyyah. [i]

[i] - Please refer to the Glossary.  This quotation simply means that if polytheism was not forbidden, then you could consider your father, mother, friends, bosses, governors, holy personalities, and so forth, as your outright Nourisher and Provider, causing impurity in belief, which brings about immorality and desecration .

Ḥaḍrat Fāṭimah Zahra (a.s.): Book No. 3, v. 29, p. 223

2-03

Imān (belief) means knowledge (about Allāh (J.J.)) in the heart, confirmation with the tongue, and action (principles of religion) with strength .

Al-Imām Ali (a.s.):  Book No. 1, No. 227

2-04

Protect your ’imān (belief) with charity, guard your wealth with zak ā h [i] , and ward off waves of calamity with supplications .

[i] - Levy on certain income and wealth .

Al-Imām Ali(a.s.):  Book No. 1, No. 146

2-05

Verily, lying is the thing which destroys imān (belief).

Al-Imām Bāqir(a.s.) :       Book No. 7, v.2, p. 339, h.4

2-06

Verily, the imān (belief) appears as a white spot (glitter) in the heart.  The whiteness (light) increases as the imān increases.  Thus, when the imān is complete, it enlightens the entire heart.  And verily, hypocrisy (discord) appears as a black stain in the heart.  The blackness (darkness) increases as the hypocrisy increases.  Thus, when the hypocrisy is complete, it blackens the entire heart .

Al-Imām Ali (a.s.): Book No. 13, v.1, p. 94

2-07

The mu min (believer) can escalate to highest degree of im ā n (belief) by prudent study of aḥādith. [i]

[i] - Traditions and narrations related to the Holy Prophet and the 12 Im ā ms with complete chain of reputable narrators.  Please refer to ḥadith in the Glossary .

Al-Imām Bāqir (a.s.) :  Book No. 3, v.1, p. 106, h.2, c.3

2-08

There is no imān (belief) for he who is not trustworthy, and there is no religion for he who keeps not his promise .

Prophet Muḥammad (phhp) :  Book No. 14, p. 36

2-09

Iimān (belief) and action are like two inseparable close brothers and friends.  Allāh (J.J.) accepts neither one of them, unless they are together [i] .

[i] - This is why in the Glorious Qurān we constantly see the combined usage of the two words "imān" and "action".  Imān and action are similar to the "spirit" and the "body" of a human being, or to the "software" and "hardware" of a computer system.  Are they any good separately?

Al-Imām Ali(a.s.):  Book No. 2, p. 151, h. 2782

2-10

There is no imān (belief) for he who has no bashfulness .

Al-Imām Ṣādiq (a.s.):  Book No. 7, v.2, p. 106, h.5
