Imām al-Riḍā ▧:

May Allāh ◣ shower mercy upon an obedient who has revived our cause.  The Imām was asked “how could one revive your cause”?  He replied: by learning about our knowledge, and making it known to [other] people.  People would indeed follow us if they knew about the virtue of our words.

Imām al-Ḥusayn ▧:

Verily, the love of us, Ahl al- Bayt, sheds sins off an individual, just as a strong wind sheds leaves off the tree.

Book No. 3, v. 27, p. 77, h. 9, c. 4.

Imām al-Bāqir ▧:

A believer can escalate to highest degree of belief with prudent study of our narration.

Book No. 3, v. 1, p. 106, h. 2, c. 3.

Ḥaḍrat Fāṭimah Zahrā ▨:

We, Ahl al-Bayt, are the intermediaries in His Creation, we are His favourites, and the descending point of divinities, and we are His final Proof of His unseen world, and we are inheritors of His prophets.

ايمان و كفر

IMĀN (BELIEF) AND KUFR (DISBELIEF)


2-11

اَكْلُ الْحَرامِ يَطْرُدُ الاْيمانَ.

خوردن لقمه حرام، ايمان را از آدم دور مى‏كند.

Eating the illegitimate (ḥarām) food takes the imān (belief) away .

2-12

رَأْسُ الايمانِ حُسْنُ الْخُلْقِ وَ التَّحَلِّى بِالصِّدْقِ.

سر آغاز ايمان تخلّق به اخلاق نيكو است و خود را به زيور صداقت آراستن .

Imān (belief ( begins with having good temper and being adorned with truthfulness .

اَلْعِلْمُ حَياةٌ وَ الايمانُ نَجاةٌ.

علم مايه حيات است و ايمان باعث نجات.

Knowledge is for living, and imān is for salvation .

2-14

الايمانُ شَجَرَةٌ أصْلُها الْيَقِيْنُ وَ فَرْعُها التُّقى وَ نَوْرُها الحَياءُ وَ ثَمَرُها السَخاءُ.

ايمان درختى است كه ريشه آن يقين و شاخه آن تقوى و شكوفه آن حيا و ميوه آن سخاوتمندى است.

The imān (belief) is a tree its root is the certainty (conviction), and its branch is the piety, and its blossom is the bashfulness, and its fruit is the generosity .

2-15

ألاَ إنَّ مَثَلَ هَذَا الدِّينِ كَمَثَلَ شَجَرَةٍ نَابِتَةٍ ثَابِتَةٍ:  الإِيمانُ أصْلُهَا وَالزَّكاَةُ فَرْعُهَا وَالصَّلاَةُ مَاؤُهَا وَالصِّيَامُ عُرُوقُهَا وَ حُسْنٌ الْخُلقً وِرَقُهَا وَالإِخَاءُ فِى الدِّينِ لِقَاحُهَا وَ الْحَيَاءُ لِحَاؤُهَا وَ الْكَفُّ عَنْ مَحَارِمِ اللَّهِ ثَمَرَتُهَا فَكمَا لا تَكْمُلُ الشَّجَرَةُ إِلاّ بِثَمَرَةٍ طَيِّبَةٍ كَذَلِكَ لاَيَكْمُلُ الاْيمانُ إِلاَّ بِالْكَفِّ عَنْ مَحَارِمِ اللَّه. 

آگاه باش كه محققاً اين دين مثل درختى است تنومند كه:  ايمان ريشه آن و زكات ) تزكيه ( شاخه آن و نماز آب آن و روزه رگهاى آن و حسن خلق برگهاى آن و برادران دينى پيوند ) بارورى ( آن و حيا ) شرم ( لايه هاى آن و دورى از محرمات خداوند ميوه آن است. پس همانطور كه درخت بدون ميوهِ پاك كامل نيست، ايمان نيز بدون اجتناب از محارِم خداوند متعال كامل نيست.

Verily, this religion is like a growing tree:  The imān is its root, the zakāh [i] is its branch, the prayer is its water, the fasting is its supping capillary , and good manner  is its leaves, the  religious brotherhood  is its intercourse, and bashfulness is its inner barks (layers), and shunning from the illegitimate act (trespassing Allah s command) is its fruit.  Therefore, as a tree is incomplete without the good fruit, al- imān (religion) is also incomplete without avoidance of what Allāh (J.J.) commands as illegitimate.




[i] - In general, means purification.  In particular, means payment of certain percentage of income and wealth in the way of Allāh (J.J.) as a religious duty .
