Imām al-Riḍā ▧:

May Allāh ◣ shower mercy upon an obedient who has revived our cause.  The Imām was asked “how could one revive your cause”?  He replied: by learning about our knowledge, and making it known to [other] people.  People would indeed follow us if they knew about the virtue of our words.

 Book No. 25, v.1, p.180

Imām al-Ḥusayn ▧:

Verily, the love of us, Ahl al- Bayt, sheds sins off an individual, just as a strong wind sheds leaves off the tree.

Book No. 3, v. 27, p. 77, h. 9, c. 4.

Imām al-Bāqir ▧:

A believer can escalate to highest degree of belief with prudent study of our narration.

Book No. 3, v. 1, p. 106, h. 2, c. 3.

Ḥaḍrat Fāṭimah Zahrā ▨:

We, Ahl al-Bayt, are the intermediaries in His Creation, we are His favourites, and the descending point of divinities, and we are His final Proof of His unseen world, and we are inheritors of His prophets.

الزُّهْدُ وَ الْتَّقوى

زهد و تقوى



اَيُّهَا النّاسُ اِنَّ رَبَّكُمْ واحِدٌ وَ اِنّ َ اَباكُمْ واحِدٌ كُلُّكُمْ لآدَمَ وَ آدَمُ مِنْ تُرابٍ "اِنَّ اَكْرَمَكُمْ عِنْدَ اللَّهِ أَتْقاكُمْ" وَ لَيْسَ لِعَرَبىٍّ عَلىٰ عَجَمىٍّ فَضْلٌ اِلاّ بِالتَّقْوىٰ.

اى مردم! همانا خداى شما يكى است، همانا پدر شما يكى است، همه شما از آدم هستید و آدم از خاك است. "همانا كه محترم ترين شما نزد پروردگار پرهيزكار ترين شما است" و عرب را بر عجم برترى و امتيازى نيست مگر به تقوا.

O people!  Verily your Lord is One.  Verily your father is one.  You are all from Adam, and Adam is from soil.  "Verily the most respectful of you before Allāh (J.J.) is the most pious among you[1]".  And there is no prominence of Arab over non-Arab, except for the piety[2].

[1] - From the Glorious Qur ’ān , āyah 13, surahal-ḥujurāt (49).

[2] - The expression of Arab over non-Arab is only symbolic.  It means any nation over other nations .


Prophet Muḥammad (ph&hp): Book No. 10, p. 34


اَلْتُّقىٰ رَئيسُ الأخْلاقِ.

تقوا در رأس اخلاق قرار گرفته است.

Piety is the head of morality .

Al-Imām ʿAli (a.s.) : Book No. 1, No. 410


قليلُ الطَمَعِ يُفسِدُ كَثيرَ الْوَرَعِ.

کمی طمع تقواى بسيار را فاسد مى كند.

A little greed spoils a great deal of piety .

Al-Imām ʿAli (a.s.): Book No. 2, p. 297, h. 6707


وَ لاَ وَرَعَ كَالْكَفِّ عَنْ المَحَارِمِ.

هيچ ورعى مثل دست برداشتن از مُحرّمات نيست.

No piety is like quitting the illegitimate acts .

اِجْتِنابُ الَسّيِئاتِ اَوْلى مِنِ اكْتِسابِ الحَسَنات.

پرهيز از گناه اولويت دارد بر اكتساب خوبى ها.

Abstention from the sins has higher priority over acquisition of the good deeds .

Al-Imām ʿAli (a.s.):  Book No. 2, p. 185, h. 3514


سُئِلَ الامامُ اَلْحُسَينُ ( a.s .) : "...ما الِغنىٰ؟" قَالَ "قِلَّةُ اَمانِيكَ وَ الرِضّا بِما يَكفِيكَ.

از امام حسين ( a.s .) سئوال شد:  "...غنا چيست؟" فرمود "كاستن آرزوهايت و راضى بودن به آنچه تو را كفايت ميكند".

Al-Imām Ḥusayn (a.s.) was asked: ...what is richness?  He responded:   lowering your wishes, and be satisfied with what suffices you.

Al-Imām Ḥusayn (a.s.): Book No. 25, p. 401, h. 62


قِيلَ لَهُ الاِمامُ الحَسَنُ (a.s.) : "مَا الزُهد؟" قَالَ:  "الرغبَة فِى التَّقوىٰ وَ الزّهادَة فِى الدُنيا".

از حضرت امام حسن ( a.s.) سئوال شد:  "زُهد چيست؟" فرمود: "رغبت به تقوا و بى رغبتى به دنيا".

Al-Imām Ḥasan (a.s.) was asked: " what is the zohd (abstinence)? "   He said: " relish for piety and distaste for the worldly matters ."

Al-Imām Ḥasan (a.s.):  Book No. 10, p. 225


اِتَّقوُا مَعاصِىَ اللَّهِ فِى الْخَلَواتِ، فَاِنَّ الشَّاهِدَ هُوَ الْحاكِمُ.

از نافرمانى ) دستورات ( خداوند در خلوت بپرهيزيد، چه هم او كه شاهد است قضاوت ميكند.

Abstain from disobeying Allāh (J.J.) in privacy, because the One Who witnesses, is also the Judge .
